The Mechanical Technician will work with others to perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. They troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities May Include:

• Performing maintenance and repairs on engines (including Waukesha, Ariel, Superior), compressors, and associated components such as compressor valves, spark plugs, cooling, and lubrication systems (auxiliary).
• Performing overhaul of compressors and engines/engine swings, including foundation work, initial alignment, testing, and startup.
• Ensuring the safe, effective, and efficient performance of maintenance and operation activities in accordance with company standards and regulatory guidelines.
• Complying with company policies, procedures, and directives.
• Performing work on air pollution control equipment.
• Performing required preventive and corrective maintenance on various types of equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Identifying maintenance work and initiating work requests.
• Driving a company-owned vehicle within the assigned area.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical problems.
• Providing Quality Assurance/Quality Control over third-party contractors performing major maintenance.
• Managing parts procurement and maintaining accurate inventory levels to ensure timely availability of materials for ongoing operations and maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

• Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
• High School Diploma/GED equivalent.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must live or relocate within 35 miles of the reporting location.
• Willing and able to work a rotating call-out schedule.
• Willing and able to perform, with or without a reasonable accommodation, the following:
• Maintain all required operations and safety training, including Operator Qualifications for DOT-covered tasks.
• Climb various ladders and stairs ranging from 5 to 20 feet in height on platforms and catwalks to perform maintenance on equipment.
• Raise and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally exert pulling force of 130 pounds.
• Walk, stand, stoop, sit, climb, and carry material daily on even and uneven terrain.
• Work outside in harsh weather conditions.
• Work alone a high percentage of the time.
• Work scheduled or unscheduled overtime as needed.
• Wear fire-retardant clothing and other personal protective equipment, such as steel-toe shoes and ear and eye protection.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three or more years of maintenance/mechanical experience in oil and gas or related industry.
• Three or more years of direct experience with reading schematics, manuals, and drawings.
• Prior experience working with Waukesha, Ariel, and Superior Engines and Compressors.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, and maintenance programs.
• Intermediate proficiency with SAP or Maximo.
• Sound knowledge of code requirements, including OSHA and Process Safety.

Midstream Overview

The Phillips 66 Midstream business is a safe, reliable, and trusted provider for the movement, storage, gathering, and processing of liquid or gas energy via pipelines or terminals. We are an industry leader in logistics, operating or managing over 70,000 miles of pipelines that transport crude oil from oil fields to refineries and finished products from refineries to storage terminals.

We operate 39 terminals supplying finished products to consumer gas stations, along with crude oil and NGL storage terminals and NGL fractionation facilities. Our capabilities include extensive natural gas gathering and processing operations, supporting our wellhead-to-market strategy. We also facilitate connectivity between various Phillips 66 business units.

Compensation

The base pay range for this role is $81,800 - $117,600, depending on relevant work experience and education.
