Position: Medical Records Clerk
ARA is seeking a highly motivated Medical Records Clerk to join our growing team!
The responsibilities include:
- Engaged in incoming phone calls, fax requests, and emails while processing requests for medical records including films and digital images from patients and referring physicians.
- Receives, delivers, and sends mail including correspondence with patients.
- Contacts patients and/or facilities to obtain comparison images or arrange distribution of ARA images.
- Produces quality images through various systems and gathers/assembles images for distribution.
- Generates and processes daily pull lists and add-ons to ensure timely delivery of prior images.
- Schedules outside exams to upload images into ARA Synapse.
- Creates addendums and over read requests from patients and physicians' offices.
Work From Home Requirements:
To qualify for remote work, you must be able to work independently and have high-speed cable internet service (minimum 50 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload) from a reliable cable provider. Equipment will be provided, including a VPN device that must be connected to an available port on the modem or wireless router. Satellite internet and mobile hotspots are not accepted.
Desired Professional Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One to three years of experience in a healthcare or high-volume call center environment and medical terminology experience related to radiology procedures is preferred.
